True Love Weeps

True love weeps

I thought that eyes could never lie…
showing your inner Soul…
And when those eyes smiled at me…
I thought true love was shown.
But now I know… my heart don’t lie…
It feels your inner need.
And however much your eyes show love
I know on what you feed.
Luckily I have an Angel… watching over me
Because God knows my heart is weak…
And sometimes does not see.
The Angel told me as I slept…
Secrets that people keep…
Then my Angel told me…
It is not my love you seek.
So I was saddened for a while
And smiled at what had been…
I had prayed to God and begged for love…
He had answered all my dreams.
However, love is far too precious.
To be treated all so cheap…
In those eyes that lie to me
Where only true love weeps.
