I Dream Of You
You come to me with the
early morning dew
What I would give
to find you here with me
But it is your face
I can never quite see
You are every beat
of this heart of mine
Why does it never seem
to be my time
Are the walls
too high for you to cross
Do I dare let them down
and maybe face another loss
But if these walls
are left in tact
You will stay a dream
and that is a chosen fact.
It is said all things in life
require a chance
One I will have to take
if this heart is to again dance.
My love will be held safe
until my eyes upon you fall
and this heart of mine
receives your loving call
So take a chance
this heart will do.
And my nights will be filled
with dreams of you.
