It seems my life has been filled......
Almost Overflowing......
With second chances.
Let me tell you about the most recent!!!!
I have been under the care of our "County Nurses" for quite some time now, (a very long and very boring story about heart surgery and strokes), but since October, my most recent "Second Chance" occurred.
In October, I thought I had a case of the flu !!!!
My doctor, bless his heart, said you just have to ride it out-----
and so I tried !!!!!!
But, things got worse-----
and worse------
until my Nurse said, it's time to call the Ambulance.
Result: Emergency surgery
in Rochester, Minnesota.
The following poem is
Dedicated to the Nurses and Staff
That have done so much
To take care of me
In all these months since ........
My very own Angel's Unaware
It has been said, in scriptures old,
of angels unaware,
And how it's best to honor them, they always do their share.
Recently, I have met a few,
There can't be any doubt,
These angels came and cared for me
After surgery, which was about
As near to death as I want to be,
Till Jesus bids me, "Come".
My Angels brought their skills and
made me comfortable at Home.
Daily caring for my needs,
With kindness and concern,
I knew them all before,
But still, I was to truly learn
How important is the ability to have Angels such as these,
Who give so tirelessly of themselves
Who's only aim is to please.
I'm here today, because of them,
There isn't any question.
Our Aides and Nurses of Public Health
Have been my inspiration.
To set this poem in simple rhyme,
To let them know I care,
And tell the world, if it will listen,
We have Angels Unaware.
