tears of joy cascading down my cheek
like the dew of the early morning rain
the happiness overwhelming my lonely heart
is shadowed with cruel reality
for we two though seperated by distance
are forever entangled by our need
to do right by those we love
even if it may come to sacrificing
the utter tranquility and love
we have for one another
the Lord above gave us a soul
that yearns to give others peace
so why then can't we find ours
with each other
for years i have waited for you
now it seems i may never
be able to have you
oh Father above allow me to
follow my heart to finally
have the happiness i have longed
for this is my request.....
