Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Getting fat off of lies

I got fat off of your lies,
Pretending to care, I know you don't!
But I wanted so much
To believe every word you uttered
For even when you lied,
It sounded honest;
Your honest voice feeding me lies
Until I recognized your lies,
Most of them repeated,
Some new,
Always lies,
Always fed to me, like
Feeding a toddler jarred vegetables;
I didn't want to except them,
But eventually, I did,
Because you forced them upon me.
I always eat up your lies,
For they are like comfort foods to me.
You reassure me
That all will be well again,
And I eat that up too,
Knowing all too well that all is disastrous.
