Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Alienation, a familiar home to me
Once again, I've felt it.
The alienation. It always comes,
Sure, only after 6 weeks
In a class I more than adore.
Suddenly, no one is sitting by me
And I appoint myself
To the back of the room,
At a lonely table that I am
Probably the first person to have sat in
For this quarter.
I'm lonely. Again. As always.
I'm sure I've adopted a look upon my face.
Again. As always.
That look that says
“I'm lonely. I'm lonely. Sit here, I'm lonely!”
Like a mutt, lost and lonely,
A yearning look on its face,
Wanting to go home with anyone.
Wanting to be with anyone.
