The Little Mouse…...For The Children Of Today... ...Who Will Become The Abused Of Tomorrow... ...Listen To Their Cries... Where Was Her Salvation? At the time when she needed help the most, Where was her salvation, her support? The little girl, so sad and alone, In a nightmare she was caught. No-one to save her from hell, And no-one came to her aid… Alone was she, so scared was she, She wanted the nightmare to end, to fade… But on she went through life, This little mouse so frail and scared, Where was her help when she needed it so? Why weren't her pitiful little cries heard? No-one to turn to, nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide her pain, The little mouse suffered, oh such sorrow, Over and over again! She cocooned herself in her own little world, Where happiness and laughter were free, Why did she have such sorrow in life! And why was she alone. Why did it have to be? Did no-one see or hear, Were they both deaf and blind? Why didn't anyone save her from hell? For hell was all she could find! This little mouse so shy and scared, Of every word and deed, said and done, What could she do this little mouse? Where, oh where could she run? She couldn't run, couldn't hide, But where oh where was her support? Hiding her sorrow and pain from the world, When it was peace and love that she sought! Where was her salvation and support? Where was the help she needed so much? Where was her knight in armour? Where, where, where was her ‘crutch?' She needed someone to lean on, And support and help her through… This little mouse, so terrified and timid, With no help, there was nothing she could do! No-one heard her cries and sobs, No-one came to her aid, No-one saw her pain and fear, No-one saw the blows that couldn't be stayed! Why did this little mouse suffer so? Was it her fault at all? If that's not so, then she will never know… Why her God never answered her call! He must have been to busy to see… Her fear, torture and pain, He must have thought she deserved it, He must have witnessed it over and again! He didn't intervene and stop and support, He didn't do anything, anything at all, He didn't stay the fists that hurt, He didn't listen to her call! Was she so bad that she deserved this abuse? For a long time that's what she thought, The little mouse believed herself to be so bad, When there was no help that was all she sought! But the little mouse survived and grew up, No longer afraid is she… She also knows it wasn't her fault, But rather, the fault of HE! ...As A Child She Thought He Hadn't Heard... ...As A Woman, She Knows He Did... ...God Did Hear Her Cries... ...She Survived And Prevailed...
