I know a girl called Madelaine
Who`s growing up so fast
She`s even got a boyfriend
Time has gone so fast.
Are you really ten years old
My little brown eyed baby
Are you near as big as me
In fact, almost a lady.
Don`t you marry `til your thirty
`Cause that would make me worry
It would make me very old
So do try not to hurry.
Enjoy today and all your life
But keep today in mind.
Now you`re double figures
Your babyhood`s behind.
