Walls of your mind _

Thoughts nibble at your mind
slip in or move away
Beliefs tested
emotions stirred
does this fit, then slip right in
a home here found to stay.

Build it up, make it strong
this belief is meant for me.
Draw enough thoughts this way
this truth must surely be.

Keep it going long enough
high walls will soon appear.
Surround the mind
keep what's different out
foundations built on fear.

Reinforce with concrete thought
patch holes that may appear.
Paint over with your favourite theme
dress it up to suit your need.

Through life they start to crumble
wisdom's influence
with father time.
Weathered, beaten, broken
yet still they stand
 illusions of your mind.

Then consciousness dissolves away
within the super-conscious mind.
A universal pool of thoughts
collecting dying minds.
