The warmth of the sun touches all upon this world,
Even the clouds at its touch will unfurl,
This is not mere wishful thinking or sensual illusion,
This is a matter of logical conclusion.
You can feel the sun as it permeates through,
You can see its yellow-gold in sky so blue,
You can hear the plants rustling as they turn their head,
To follow Apollo's horses as across the skies they tread!
Apollo looks down from his lofty chariot throne,
And observes that mankind is below…
Scurrying ants in a circus show…
Their noise an incessant drone!
He sees the women toiling in their home…
He hears monks and priests praying…
In mosque and cathedral dome…
He sees weary travelers - laden down on dusty path,
And regal kings with golden crown and royal staff!
They mean nothing to him as he travels the sky,
The seasons move on, the years go quickly by,
People are born, live and die!
But who is he to question why?
His job is to light the way…
To make the difference between night and day,
What matter to him the fate of mankind!
That is the concern of another you will find!
Apollo's gift is to bring us life…
He considers naught of children, husband or wife,
He is only there to provide warmth and light!
So we can enjoy each day and night!
