From The Heart
My Child
On a warm summers morning,
As the sun comes into view,
Gently I call your name,
For as the day is calling,
My thoughts turn to you,
And your warm and tender ways.
You are a ray of sunshine,
Which brightens up my day,
Without you here I don't know what I'd do.
For as a ray of sunlight,
Just shines and shows the way,
I know each day I now live for you.
On a cool summers evening,
As the sun is going down,
I stop and think of al; you mean to me.
For as the day is leaving,
And it's time to settle down,
It's hard to think, my child, you are only three.
As the sun comes into view,
Gently I call your name,
For as the day is calling,
My thoughts turn to you,
And your warm and tender ways.
You are a ray of sunshine,
Which brightens up my day,
Without you here I don't know what I'd do.
For as a ray of sunlight,
Just shines and shows the way,
I know each day I now live for you.
On a cool summers evening,
As the sun is going down,
I stop and think of al; you mean to me.
For as the day is leaving,
And it's time to settle down,
It's hard to think, my child, you are only three.
