From Day One Nothin in life is really promised to anyone as you will see Nor are there many things that will come with a true guarantee Still many souls come up very short in their life They wonder to themselves why is it that I am all alone Who can I trust with my heart and who can I love Got me wonderin if God see's all of this from his beautiful throne You about done had it with wantin to love someone Then you came and changed my way of thinking all from day one I could have missed a love of a lifetime that is so hard to find All because my heart was hurtin with so much pain The pain of havin many trample and abuse my tender heart They said they would love me for a lifetime from the start You have helped me to see that there are still beautiful people and not in the way that this crazy world sees I found out that I could the beauty inside of you which helped me to open up myself to you No one in the world did I want to have my baby Now I find myself needin to share so much more of that which is inside of me All you have said and done for me has caused me to want to be a greater man You helped me learn how to open up to my dreams cause you understand That's why my life will be blessed from the front to the back Havin the kind of life for my wife so that we have no lack All these things that I will do in life are for my very best friend who is also my wife My pride and my joy for all of the many years that are to come My wife has been there for me even when I have fallin She's there to help pick me back up and brush me off Tellin me baby it will be o.k.,so you keep on movin Keep on movin you hear me and you will surely get some I will tell the world that I love my wife and it all started for me all "From Day One" Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
