Words of Life, Love and Praise

Bury Me

Bury me neath' the lavender twist tree
When it is indeed time for me
To return from where it is I came
Shall anyone then remember my name?
Will the love I hold deep within my heart
Return to the one who made me whole…
Shall his heart know me when we are face to face,
Will he then extend his soul to me?
This love I hold for him alone
Rips me clean to the bone-
All so revealed – holding nothing back
I am but what you see,
Reduced to nothing less
Than the love I offered thee.
