Friendship, A Fulfilling Relationship (For Int'l. Friendship Day - August 3)
It's easy to make a friend but hard for friendship to live,
Like it's easy to get annoyed but hard to completely forgive.
Friendship and forgiveness they're always hand-in-hand,
Give them generously and always understand.
As far as we recall we've had friends come and go,
And sometimes along the way they've even become foes!
We've all had this experience more than once in a while,
But don't ever let this get you, let it pass on with a smile.
Don't jump to hasty conclusions, take time to comprehend,
Who is passing through and who is there to the end.
Sometimes a friend in passing just helps and then is gone,
And wipes away your misery when you are all alone.
A friend is a source of solace and comfort when you're down,
A friend is always devoted when no one is around.
When someone is your true friend you never have to ask,
Your desires are foreseen, your needs are soon in the past.
Going through a crisis reveals who true friends really are,
They stand by you in bad times their efforts have no bars.
You feel their true dedication when facing adversity,
Experience their moral character with greater intensity.
To make your friendship strong requires your efforts too,
Always appreciate when someone does something for you.
In case it's just not possible to pay back with a deed,
Send these magic words, ‘Thank You' is all they'll need.
Most important of all be always ready to forgive,
Don't hold on to a grudge; don't remain aggressive.
‘Cause once you let your friendship drift apart and away,
It hardly comes to pass you'll ever reverse the decay.
