 The great depression

I Knew

I knew the day I met you,
The day that we first spoke,
That you were something special,
And your words were not a joke

I knew that what you said to me
Did come from in your heart
And that we would be friends or more
Right from the very start.

I knew one day that words
Would no longer do us just'
And somehow someway, soon, I JUST
Had to feel your touch....

I knew the day would come
When finally you were here,
And now it's anticipation
That takes the place of fear.

I knew that you, only you, could
Soften my hard heart.
And as you eased into my soul
I knew you'd leave your mark.

I knew that I had never,
Felt a love like you've shown me,
And such a love in my life,
I thought I'd never see.

I knew the instant that we touch
A connection we would make,
And form a strong and lasting bond,
We know will never break.

I knew that once you held me,
And I kissed those soft sweet lips,
All my pain would finally fade,
And never would be missed.

I knew that when you held me
And I looked into your eyes
That you would see deep in mine
All the feelings stored inside.

I knew in time that you would see,
The love I held for you,
And hoped that in this perfect world,
That you could love me too.

I knew that when we made love
Together we would mold
And from that day forward,
I just knew.......
Together we'd grow old.......
When I am with you
Moments are endless.
I helplessly gravitate
To your sensual embrace
Forcing me to fall.
