Ah, yes - my son found his heart
such a tiny little thing is she,
long dark tresses and eyes crystal blue
the nice girl I had hoped she would be.
Such Divine sweetness wrapped up with a bow
delicate and fine is her face,
a smile that will surely capture your heart,
should you be Lucky to be blessed with her grace.
More than mere beauty, this slip of a girl
she's bright and intelligent too,
don't let her fool you, she has a mind all her own
most certainly nobody's fool.
Oh my, the smile she brings to his face
his love "right there" for all to see,
I remember that smile, I still see it today
when I catch his father looking at me.

to start a new life with babes of his own
a joyful heartbreak only a mom can know.
