Just Pretending
I see you from across the room
I run to your embrace, it feels so true
I kiss you, eyes closed living my fantasy
we dance for a while, I let my guard down
we connect like no one who has ever come before you
we are entranced in each other, no one else comes close
you are my equal in every possible way
you are my meant to be I just know it
you exceed all of my hopes and I am just in awe
I know I can make you happy, no feeling like a free fall
thank you so much be caused you care
thank you for rescuing a lost girl in distress
will it ever be like this? I snap out of it
and realize I am just pretending
looking forward to my next daydream
next time I wonder will you be different?
