Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Just Another Version Of Me

*To Dad

Don’t flip out,
Like ninjas with guitars
And an insatiable appetite for destruction.
That I would say that,
Or do that,
Or imagine that,
Or even wish that,
It doesn’t reflect on your skills as a parent.
Don’t wail at me for difference of opinion,
And don’t circumcise my knowledge,
Simply because it
Coincides greatly with your beliefs,
And that is something you can’t possibly have,
You just want to deny acknowledgement.
I love you eternally and
Would give up my life if I knew
That it would give you eternal existence.
That’s just how much I care.
I wish you could show me the same.
I have come to
Identify my flaws,
I wish you had come with me
So your attitude would benefit,
But you corner yourself against problems
And try always to argue yourself out of them.
The world is not always
One big stage for argumentation.
I’m only here to solve the coldness
That resides in our hearts
And maybe you have qualms against this,
And it makes you distance yourself from me.
I’m sorry you feel that way.
This is just another version of me.
