Sing to me a sweet lullaby
teach my heart how to cry
give me a passion Lord for those
who may be passing by.
Give me a new song of praise
to feel the comfort of your embrace
let the words linger in my ear
reminding me of a better place.
This world needs comfort from fear
they need your soft words of cheer
may they find your grace
so their souls can become clear.
Lord, most of all give them your peace
let your melody give them sweet release
from the sting of pain that hangs in
the corner of their memories.
