As moon does bid the earth goodnight
Star is perched within the sky
I close my eyes to send a wish
A lullaby to you sent with a kiss

Now is the time for blanket and bed
Dreams to fill a weary head
A time for prayers for the lord to keep
The shelter of arms to be felt in sleep

So as you drift my love so dear
Safe in my heart you're cradled near
Until trace of night no longer exists
