POEMS FROM A TENDER AGE

Dwell not in Sadness

Dwell not in sadness,
now that life has drawn the final curtain
 . . . and I must walk across it's veil.
But think of brighter, happier, days.

Walk forward . . .
but if you must . .
look back awhile
 . .  and smile.
For there I'll be . .
as whole,
 - a part of you -
in days that lingered
on and on
. . . and filled with laughter new.

Dwell not in sadness
now that life has drawn the final curtain
 . . . and I must walk across it's veil.

Then all the thoughts,
and all the dreams,
we shared with one another,
will live again once more.

Spare little thought for sadder times
 . . . a moment in their leaving,
but travel on through life with joy.
My love . .
My family . .
 . . . friends.

And in that heartfelt glow
that passes time.
. . . that fills the finer hour.
Know . . . .
that I have felt your sorrow
in my leaving.
