Throw the Day

For in the dawn
that sullied forth the day,
when eyes that opened on the world
with deepened thought,
gave way
. . . to deep and utter peace.
Spellbound . .
I held your gaze.

Throw the day . .
heaving into the void,
. . lie with me awhile.
And in this magic hold me,
. . . hold me as you would a child.

Deep love . .
that begs contentment.
That binds the inner soul.
Where lies the reason,
where lies the goal ?

Fly into my world,
and share with me
the secrets that unfold.
For then the peace
and then the love,
 . . . the finer treasures held,
will, between us,
find a home.
