A PonyGirl Signature Have you ever stopped to listen, directly to your kids, all the questions that they ask, or all the dont's or dids. Some will make you laugh, while others make you cry, they want to do like you do, or at least they like to try. Questions like, where did I come from, or why did you do that, can I have a toy today, and why is he so fat? What does God look like, and why do people die, can we have another baby, and how does that plane fly? Did you go to school, and clean your room like me, did you have a Grandpa, and did you climb a tree? Did you have a puppy dog, and did you have a cat, did you dream bad dreams, and did you see that rat? I don't like vegetables, and I don't like this meat, and I don't like to sit, in this old hard seat! I don't want to take a bath, don't want to go to bed, I don't want to do it, or I don't know what you said! Theres so many things that they say, you could write a book, somethings they do, you look and then re-look. You think of all the little things, and all the times you've spent, loving, playing, teaching, but look at all its meant. When they do something special, or say a little rhyme, say I'm very proud, that those little kids are mine. by...Debbie Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
