No Un-Sung Hero's

As they get into their uniforms, an leave home and family behind,
theres that chance they won't return, as life isn't always kind.

Pride an honor keep them out there, they believe in what they do,
their State Police Men and Women, doing their best protecting you.

They face anguish and anger, with countless accidents and drunks, devastated or lifeless bodies, metal strewn in little chunks.

Theres suicides and murders, fender benders, an babies cries,
as they search so professionally, sorting honesty through senseless lies.

So much more than writing tickets, their lives in constant danger,
ever alert,adrenaline pumping, as they greet each new stranger.

A uniform worn proudly, for a job well done they strive,
as they patrol our endless highways, keeping civilians safe and alive.

Remember your Fallen Troopers, they were comrades at your side,
salute and call them friend, as they make that final ride.

As they pass their job to you, feel the presence where they stepped,
a Guardian Angel on your shoulder, countless tears his comrades wept.

Watch over our State Troopers, we ask it in Your name,
without their heartfelt courage, our lives wouldn't be the same.

Let there be no Un-Sung Heros, not alive or after death,
our Troopers fight to uphold the law, with every single breath.

Show respect and gratitude, for each trooper that you meet.
let them be your Hero, your best friend on the street.

Upholding the law to its fullest,halfway would never do
Thank God for your State Troopers, their watching out for you.
