God can be found in all we face,
and he faces all we're in,
sometimes he brings us teardrops,
other days he makes us grin
a ladybug lands on your nose,
it's God's great sense of humour
a lump under your skin and he
assures it's not a tumour
he swirls within the coffee cream
and sweetly scents the steam
after our restless soul are drawn
back to him in our dreams
he's at my mother's graveside
touching me with gentle hands
and promising I'll see her
when I reach his promised land
he's the twinkle in
the bright blue eyes
of my most precious son,
he placed that twinkle in the seed
when two were merged as one
he faces us, and we face him
he seldom looks away
and we see many faces
when we ask for help and pray
the faces of those that he made
the one's we hope he'll aid
and under his most graceful face
we'll soon rest in the shade
knowing he'll save the day.
