Standing here today at the very top,
After working so hard in life.
I remember all the times so well
I just wanted to stop and cry
Taking life in easy strides so very hard,
Things at the drop of a hat better,for me now,
Riding so high the waves of big success,
So many times I fell flat upon my face
Working for most part, of my stressful life,
All the way right, from nine to five, and often plus,
Numerous holidays I just didn't made,
They were not scheduled for me as many breaks
Making each dream as I could come true,
Working all the while, to my bare bones non-stop.
Climbin' the so called "Ladder of success" to the top,
Sacrificed as many things before I made it, up there
Money made! poof! money from my wallet just dissapeared!
Money saved as much as I could,for retirement day!
Was so hard for me,to keep things staying straigh,
Family and sanity as many times I almost lost
But I am not too old now to really enjoy,
As I look forward to my still fruitful retirement days!
With family and friends more time I shall spend,
Yeah! tomorrow in Europe, my well deserved vacation starts!
