Petals In The Grass

The Stranger

I'm so sad
But does it really matter
The past will have to wait
For today to give it's approval
She's gifted in her beauty
And well versed in her self
A love thats gone
Simple in it's conclusion
Yet hard in it's end
Knowing her face is gone
Her touch displaced
Gorgeous in her goodbye
A perfect stranger
Never meant to be loved
Innocence untouched
By me and tomorrow
Faultless in her farewell
I'm left to love her memory
And kiss yesterday
