Alone At Night

I do not need to go to fancy parties,
or sing a drunkard's song to the lilies.
I am content with being a mere single number,
as the human race dreams in its perpetual slumber.

It is such a nice night outside these walls,
I hear a crow sing gently as he calls,
why should we slumber away in bed,
when we could dance the night away instead?
