Blink of an Eye
Day goes by in the blink of an eye.
I count all heads of justice, they turn towards me.
Take the long way home;
there is no period without the end,
there is no death without a beginning.
Words are written on stone.
Written on acts of love and kindness,
lust and despair. I've been down this road before,
but oh, you are beautiful,
you make the mind whirl and the heart ache.
It is madness.
Daylight flees all doubt away,
and, with you,
I am born again.
I count all heads of justice, they turn towards me.
Take the long way home;
there is no period without the end,
there is no death without a beginning.
Words are written on stone.
Written on acts of love and kindness,
lust and despair. I've been down this road before,
but oh, you are beautiful,
you make the mind whirl and the heart ache.
It is madness.
Daylight flees all doubt away,
and, with you,
I am born again.
