~This poem is an Ode to the creator of "Lazy Town" a kids show on Nick Jr, Magnus Scheving plays, "Sportacus" on this show, and he teaches children to be healthy and at the same time they are having fun. It's a great show my sisters kids love watching it and since I take care of them I watch it too and even I think it's fun!~
Children love you they admire who you are,
to them you're a superhero not just a T.V star.
With this character and story line
you've won them over, opened their little minds.
You show them how to share
to always say the truth,
eating apples for energy
not always candy is the right treat.
Now they want to brush their teeth
jump up and down and dance.
You show them being healthy can be fun
their superhero, Sportacus
they shout out, "he is our friend!"
You show them friendships are important
and how they should lend a helping hand.
What else can I say?
They may not know your name,
Magnus Scheving you are a great man.
Children everywhere know you by the character you play.
I'm glad you take the time to teach them
how to be healthy while having fun.
And you also teach us, adults, how to reach our children
so they can better understand.
Thank you for the fun in learning show
keep teaching the children to be healthy
so smart and strong they can grow
they know now there's no fun in being lazy.
