Morning Magic
I woke up this morning,
Way above the world.
I thought I was in heaven,
Such beauty was unfurled.
From my hugging, comfy bed,
I gazed upon the sea.
So softly, gently gliding,
Each wave so tenderly.
So warm and light and happy,
I didn't have a care,
Except for my broken nail,
And the state of my hair.
But I am on holidays,
And seagulls are so kind,
And clouds and waves and breezes,
Do not seem to mind.
I sipped my steamy coffee,
And put up both my feet,
And sat and soaked this essence,
This morning, magic, sweet!
Joy Weare.
14th September, 2004.
