A Man Mourns To the Tune of "Take Me Out to the BallGame"

A woman carries pink roses to the altar of the church.
She kneels at the door of the church as the music starts.
They are playing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"
on the brass organ, brought all the way from Jerusalem on a
Harley.  A dove flies into the colored glass window;
the woman screams, thinking it is her brother’s
spirit giving a sign.  Outside the church, a delivery man
is waiting for his tip; he delivered the pink roses.  Just
last week he broke his leg playing softball,
and his eyes start to tear as he hears "And I don’t know
if I’ll ever come back."  He mourns for his leg,
and he mourns for the softball that shattered it,
laying broken and naked on the dusty mound.
