Let the Night In Over the Clouds

In love  let  night  over  the   clouds
as pleasant as an arrow's mark, take
us to Infinity's reign and Time will be the welcome van.
Delight will come from shining stars,
as clear and bright as Autumn's cold,
and happy will be another pleasant night in Joy,
as he gives his heart another swig on the bottle.
If his living is cold, and all thoughts of love
is less admired, then every fear will cease,
and the wild beast will run headfirst over the cliff
into a field of growing forget-me-nots.
If a heaven is love, and love is heaven,
all my ghastly fears will fade away into
nothingness and Death will not part tomorrow,
tomorrow, for the hand of Iron shelters me,
Autumn its own party waiting in the cold.
