When a soldier trains for combat
they have only one thing on their minds,
to do the best they can to protect us
to the point of risking their own lives.
Our soldiers are brave
they more then give their lives,
and in return other lives are saved
but for their families it's a sad goodbye.
Another young soldier has lost his life in Iraq
fighting for our country,
he didn't turn his back
he fought for us you see,
he fought for freedom and justice
In our country he believed.
This is what a soldier's life is
fights for us to be safe and free.
We all may think this war is wrong
but our soldiers need our support,
our faith and prayers make them strong
here from home we will be their fort.
In our country we must believe,
remember in God we trust.
We are America the home of the brave and free.
Don't forget our soldiers risk their lives for us.
