Zucchini

I suddenly wake up one morning and decide
I do not like zucchini anymore.  It's strange, how
we come to these decisions, sometimes they seem
easy to make, and yet they're so hard.  It's like…

when you get into a relationship, and you think you'll
always be together, and everything's so great.  There's
sex every day, the walks through the park
holding hands, dinner under the stars.
Then you wake up.  Your boyfriend gets a job in Washington,
then  goes

off to college in a different country that spring. I
don't mind it if I have to
try a new relationship-but boy,
I really can't stand zucchini, it tastes awful in the mouth
and it makes your breath stink like rotten fish.
