Peeling The Label
It doesn't hurt as she feels the tug
Peeling the labels from her skin
Nothing in this world could compare
To all of the pain she feels within
She removes one that says invisible
And she crumples it into a ball
Then another that says useless
As her tears begin to fall
Worthless stuck across her heart
Yes that too has to go
And another one that says you're nothing
Here's one that says I told you so
These labels have been all she knows
Time has made them harder to pull free
Still she knows she must peel the labels
Just once..to see if this is all there is to see

Cloaked In Her Sorrow Darkly by Mayfair
Peeling the labels from her skin
Nothing in this world could compare
To all of the pain she feels within
She removes one that says invisible
And she crumples it into a ball
Then another that says useless
As her tears begin to fall
Worthless stuck across her heart
Yes that too has to go
And another one that says you're nothing
Here's one that says I told you so
These labels have been all she knows
Time has made them harder to pull free
Still she knows she must peel the labels
Just once..to see if this is all there is to see
