Information Super Highway
I know you-you who could not predict the escape
or predict the weather, you who relies on the Information
Super Highway to tell you if you need to take
a rain coat or an umbrella when you go to work.
But what if it snows, my love? What then?
I would like to say I'm disgusted by your lack
of judgment, that I am disgusted by
by your lack of preservation,
but then I would be degrading the whole society
instead of just one person:
whenever I stare in the mirror,
I see a twin reflection of myself,
gazing out at an alien world,
light and shadow reflecting on
the smooth
surface of glass.
or predict the weather, you who relies on the Information
Super Highway to tell you if you need to take
a rain coat or an umbrella when you go to work.
But what if it snows, my love? What then?
I would like to say I'm disgusted by your lack
of judgment, that I am disgusted by
by your lack of preservation,
but then I would be degrading the whole society
instead of just one person:
whenever I stare in the mirror,
I see a twin reflection of myself,
gazing out at an alien world,
light and shadow reflecting on
the smooth
surface of glass.
