In memory.

I look out from seclusion
Surrounded I am by a sea
From high I see forever
Searching the ocean before me.

Enveloped within a question
Desperate in need of an answer
To explain these wanderings
In dreamt images of splendour.

Such imaginations be not mine
Though such things I recognise
Places I shared moments I cared
Before loves sudden demise.

Emotions flooding my soul
For all that I am is ethereal
Realising my passing to eternal
As I see images of my funeral.

Strained eyes look into the horizon
To find where thoughts are read
A portal to conscious conversation
To let her know my love is not dead.

She lies in tearful slumber
Though a smile she is to find
As I stretch to reach her
From the memories in her mind.
