No holds barredI must go as evening settles in The river bank across the luminous express way. Those half-naked slum dwellers Those dirty beggars, hungry stray dogs And all those encompassing shrouds Cannot put up any more barricades. All those shriveled hands and molten eyes Unseen for so long Struggling for their existence Will be taught a strong lesson. When rain comes I will embrace her dead body Her face will flush in an unsteady state befuddled With a dazed grin Her smile be rushing towards cheek Erasing all her stagnant sorrows And abandoned love She will sing the song of her stormy life. All those priests showering flowers And henchmen ready For the final countdown Brake up the burnt bones Laid her out under the starless sky Lighting up the fire in the burning ghat Will be shown the door. I will touch the pyre and fire-burnt skull Unresisted I will carry her body mass Into the slate grey river Wash all her dust and sin And wade through water On way to the sacred heaven.
