Slavery Of Humanity's Mind
A shadow of morning
is cast upon Humanity's soul
By the jealous wind
or a flood called time.
Financing their wars in hatred
spreading their misery with spite
Striking with the fear of children
lost in the dark of night.
The ghost of Humanity's crimes
litter the future and past
Showing our strength in fear
also the faith that we lack.
Draining off the ocean of esteem
darkening their dawn to win
their abilities hindered by mountains
leading them to the shores of sin.
Humanity speaks not of love in war
but paint picture in fear and contempt
Dressing up in sheets of shame
covered in a tent of contempt.
Hide in the darkness of reason
where hatred and fear grow strong
Not bring a drink for a stranger
when the color of skin is wrong.
Our causes are our insanity
the blood that will end all the wars
The people in charge of our ethics
change like diaper used by the score.
Do old wounds require payment
by those who died long ago
do we treat people so differently
so always the difference will show.
Yet think what you will
upon the door within time
The balance on fear
may one day still chime.
For the chime you may hear
is the hatred towards you
For the color of the past
may not be Red, White, and blue.
So treat all the people like family
for they are not a stranger to Man
Give looks that are not of poison
but, kindness they may understand.
For kindness is etched upon the soul
and does not fester when unearthed
To one day bring Humanity together
that may signals Humanity's rebirth.
