Music sparks memories for me ~~~~~ I guess because it has always been an important part of my existence~~~~~singing before I could walk, and singing in Youth choir at church, Sunday School programs, and school plays and chorus. Popular songs speak to me of my age, my love, (real or imagined) and 'places in my heart'~~~~~and then there were those songs that I sang as lullabies to my Baby Boo~~~~
Someone sent me an email with the song "Over the Rainbow"~~~~~
and the memories began
~~~~~and oh~~~~
what a joyous time I had..........
Sweet Baby Boo, will
you sing me a tune
About over the rainbow, beyond the moon,
To a far-away land where blue birds fly,
Like I sang to you in a lullaby ??
To a wonderful place where you dare to dream,
And rise higher and higher in your self -esteem.
Imagine all that you can possibly be,
Baby Boo, would you please sing that song for me???
You've met the challenges Life had in store,
You're not in "Kansas" anymore.
Now you have a baby girl of your own,
A love that is true, a wonderful home.
Now I can say, with exuberant glee,
Katy-Kate, please sing that song for me,
That you learned when you were only knee-high,
That I once sang to you as a lullaby.
Katy-Kate, will you please sing me a tune,
About over the rainbow, beyond the moon,
To that far-away land, where blue birds fly
I sang to you in a lullaby.
