On the finger
In beat with your heart
(Strong
At that)
Wrapped
In experience
You know
Made
You..
That teeny-tiny purple
Depth of orb
Seized
By fractured
Refracted light...
Only played out
By what people think they see
(Which they're right
In their own right..)
Even if you don't see
Yet
All that know you
See..
Beauty..
So for you, I chose that ring
Outspoken
Secretive
Hardened
Beyond sober sensibility..
Discovered
If she believes
If she chooses
They can get
Close
Enough
Opening
Seeing within
Some will pass
With just a glance
Others will know
To stop and ask
If you would grant them
A brief moment
Of lingering captivity..
Some jealous
(Oh, well..)
Still
All with one..
Universal belief
When they really look
At what they've seen
Brilliant loveliness
Bridled
Yet
Unbridled
Yet
Captured
Yet
Freed..
Only a little..
By an ornately wrapped
Silver cage..
Only yours
Was it meant
To be.

*(I was asked to explain this poem)
I wrote this poem as explanation to friend, as to why I gave her the ring I did.(An Amethyst Poison Ring)The ring described her well as a person, I just put it into words.
