A Poem About Teeth

Teeth Conscious

So far I am A-Okay.  I have pushed
the thoughts as far back into my head as they
can possibly go without

getting my teeth knocked out of my skull.  I've lost
four of them already:  the first two while boat-sailing
on the Pacific Ocean, and nearly got knocked
overboard by a runaway swordfish, whose skin
was so pale and gray I thought it was a dolphin
at first.

I lost my other two teeth while
fighting the Tooth Fairy.  Let me tell
you, that girl can fight, especially when she is
drunk off her ass.  I've got one of the teeth under my pillow
now, just so I'll remember the event twenty years from
now, when I'm old and gray,
and don't have any teeth left to brag about.

(Note:  sorry if there are any errors; I haven't really had a chance to edit it yet).
