"Age is just a number My Friend."
Once a dear friend said to me,
"Age is just a number my friend!"
I thought about that for awhile,
and my memory drifted back
to when I was just ten.
Climbing trees, playing
cowboys and Indians.
Shooting spit balls at
the girls in the gym.
Paper route, fishing
hole, treasure hunting
for buried gold.
Firecrackers on the fourth of July,
Parade down Main street, then
to the City Park for the big fish fry.
Days long gone, but those childhood
memories will always linger on.
"Age is just a number my friend!"
Dedicated to my good friend Ron, out in sunny California
for the inspiration to write this little verse.
