Is it possible to not know
when you're in love?
Is it logical to not recognize yourself?
Is it true that love changes
how you look at life?
Do you open up and realize
that you're no longer in a shell?
You feel free in some way.
The one you love takes up your heart and mind
your life completely,
you become a prisoner of love
nothing seems the same.
The world around you seems different
It seems as if everything is new
as if you're starting over
a sort of rebirth in your heart.
These feelings these emotions
sometimes are too much,
sometimes they hurt
sometimes the pain is too strong.
Love can be beautiful
and it can make you feel free.
But sometimes it can be painful
and full of tears.
When I fell in love
It felt like a dream.
But when you're not loved back
like me
It can turn into a nightmare
a painful reality.
Love can make you feel
and see so many different things,
but it also takes so much away
your life, your heart and soul.
To love is a risk
but it's well worth every tear
every hug and kiss,
and even every broken heart
because to love just once
Is a gift to us from up above.
