Ships That Pass In The Night
I loved you
and I wanted you to see,
You were precious
and couldn't you just accept me?
Just as I am,
what you see, no frills,
A woman
who did not
want to be hurt,
with words and actions
that kill.
I gave you
my heart and
if feels like you
took advantage of this,
I wanted
your love
and acceptance
and for you not to miss ...
What we
had together
was so beautiful to me,
You did not
want the same thing,
I'm so glad
we finally did see.
We now will be
ships that pass in
the night.
I did not
want this for us,
we could have lived
in a common light.
It would
have been if
it was meant to be,
God has
different plans
for us, as we are
sent back out to sea.
I now
am on the
mend of my broken heart,
It is not
easy sent back
to sea and from you,
be apart.
It was
better to have
found love with you,
than to have not loved at all.
How do we
be friends now
and reach out to
the other when we fall?
Goodbye my friend,
have a good life, and
keep me in your site ...
I will
be that ship,
that passes you
in the night.
