A Less Then Lovely Day At SchoolWhen Mother bought Him to the door, He screamed and rolled Onto the floor. He kicked the teacher, Without care, Then grinned beneath His ruffled hair. He tossed a block, And yanked a book, And gave a funny Toothless look. This small explosion, With a smile, Lashed his arms And legs a while. He stirred the room, With push and punch, Then dribbled drink, While eating lunch. At three O'Clock, He waved goodbye, The teacher gave A weary sigh! Joy Weare. 2nd November, 2004.
