Christmas TearDid you pass the old man on the street, As he walked in the cold, Did you turn away ,so your eyes wouldn't meet. As he carried his heavy load, I think of that man, from time to time, His lonely plight stays in my mind, As I watch the meaning of Christmas disappear, I feel on my cheek, A lonely bittersweet, Christmas tear. Did you walk by a little child, You saw the tears in her eyes, but you never smiled, As she walked in the bitter cold, It was Jesus's birthday she was told, She knew Santa wouldn't come, As she heard about where Jesus came from, She walked with her mother, homeless in the snow, They didn't know, where they would go, They were felt a warmth in their soul, The true meaning of Christmas was here. As Christmas slowly starts to diappear, The angels wept a Christmas tear. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
