Recently, I received a picture
of a Full Moon, through wispy clouds,
along a sandy beach.
Come, stroll through this
sandy fantasy
with me.
You and I, Forever
Standing alone, in the glow of the Moon,
She knows the time has come,
She'll be seeing him soon.
Together they walked on these silvery sands,
Declaring their love, and making their plans.
Yesterdays crowd into her mind's eye,
And she watches, as years of love roll by.
Times when he held her while she cried,
Comforting her heart could not be denied.
The joy that they shared was beyond measure,
For they each felt the other was their greatest treasure.
Much more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow,
The plans that they made, she needed to borrow.
The years they had shared ended too soon.
Yet, he promised to meet her behind the moon.
For the love that they shared would always be:
Yesterday, today, tomorrow,
and through eternity.
For they had met in the moonlight,
And right from the start,
He reached for her hand,
But caught hold of her heart.
