AN EAGLES HEART
My mind is faint and weary,
of my hearts once love gone by.
My eyes are filled with sorrow,
with a never ending cry.
I often lie and ponder,
how many hits it takes?
Before ones soul goes to ruin,
from a heart that finally breaks.
I hang my head in shame,
dwelling on times of yesterday.
How many more tears must fall,
to wash ones pain away?
After soaring an eagle has landed,
no longer able to fly.
His mind is faint and weary,
of his hearts once love gone by.
